SAS FAQ
How can I save SAS graphs?

A lot of times, we need to save SAS graphs. The following example shows how to save a SAS graph to a gif file. The first part is to create a dataset used in the proc gplot. Before the proc gplot, we need to specify the location where we want to save our graph and associate the location with the graphical device. This is accomplished by using filename and goption statement.

It is worth mentioning that, in order to save multiple graphs, you have to do the filename and goption separately for each graph. Otherwise, one graph would be overwritten by another. If you no longer want to save the graphs, do goptions reset gsfname; (as shown in the example below), the graphs will appear in the SAS graphic window again.
